Workshops 2019:
Fri May 3 - Sat May 4, 2019
I am offering a workshop for the first time in many years!
Waking Your Color Eye
Fri May 3... 6:30-8:30 pm
Sat May 4... 9-4

Duluth Art Institute- West End
2229 W 2nd St . Duluth, MN

This workshop explores the language and magic of color at the intersection of science, art, and spirit with special emphasis on fiber nuances.
We will create a series of 3 small mixed media fiber studies that express personal color stories that already lie deep within you.  You may work flat or 3D.
Let the studies stand on their own, think of them as pages in a book, or sculpt your own worlds.

We will work with simple easy gestures such as wrapping, layering, tearing, stitching.
... Explore color thru sensory awareness ( sight, touch, taste, smell, emotion, relationship, texture, vibration, energy, movement, myth.)
... Discover your personal color sense and color harmonies.
... Begin keeping a color journal.
... Learn 3 powerful practices to expand your language and knowledge of color.
... Build your confidence of color expression in textiles.
... Emphasis is on play and process.  Please bring your imaginative heart.

Open to anyone regardless of medium.  Materials list sent upon registration.
